We are holding our AGM on 11th June at 8pm.

We will be updating everyone on activities over the past year and our forthcoming plans regarding our IHLFS and HPS grants. There will be a couple of presentations and a screening of our short film showing the work of our training visits.

Latest Needs Assessment Visit to Kambia - January 2012

In January, members of the Kambia Appeal visited Sierra Leone to undertake a comprehensive needs assessment to plan our activity in Kambia for the next three years. James Dowling, Richard Kerr-Wilson and Shona Lockyer were joined by Terry Smith (Kambia Appeal Treasurer), Jenny Hill (Gloucestershire NHS Project Manager), Adrienne Quintana and Peter Clark (Public Health Experts) for seven days of discussions and workshops with our partners, the Kambia District Management Health Team.

Crash Course in Tropical Medicine

The Kambia Appeal will be running a 3-day crash course in tropical medicine at Cheltenham General from Wednesday 21 March 2012 for doctors, senior midwives and nurses who are considering working in a developing country.
