| Dear Reader, The friendly
name is Michael Yaarimeh Sara Bangura. I grew up in Kambia.
I was fortunate to attend both the St. Augustine Primary
School and the Kolenten Secondary School when they were
run by the Catholic Mission.
The hospital is of special importance to me and many
of my school mates because it was the one place where,
in order to escape from the vagaries of school, you could
pretend that you were ill and took the whole day to see
a doctor!
It is painfully sad that the rebels stupidly and wantonly
destroyed it thus endangering the entire population of
the District. This is why the people and well-wishers
of Kambia can never thank the people of Cheltenham who
have supported the hospital over the last 10 years. They
have now undertaken the almost impossible task of raising
£1,100,000 to rebuild it; and for which I have proudly
become a fund-raiser.
Consequently, I am appealing to you to donate whatever
little you can to help us to build a new hospital. Our
heavenly Father loves a cheerful giver. Eve if you may
never meet any of these innocent and defenceless victims
of this brutal war, you would have occupied a place in
their hearts and prayers. For the good health and well
being for them and their future generations will benefit
greatly from the new hospital.
I thank you for your most generous donation and I can
assure you that you will receive a personal "Thank
You" note from the Trustees.

taxpayer, Gift Aid increases the amount that the Kambia
Hospital Appeal receives.
Your sincerely
