Mohamed Kamara

Mohamed has been the lead Community Health Officer at Kambia Hospital for many years.  He has seen many DMOs and medical superintendents in charge of the hospital come and go, but he has always kept the operating theatre running.  Over the years, he has played a vital role in helping to select candidates for our CHO scholarship programme and in helping David Holmes with the management of the IHLFS training visits of staff from Cheltenham.  He has always been a keen and motivated particpant of these training sessions himself, taking on the responsibility of teaching how to use the ultrasound scanner donated by Cheltenham General.  Mohamed has recently left Kambia to take up a full time surgical training course. We wish him well, and hope he will return to Kambia with his new qualification.
