Sally Kadia

mcha-feature

Sally is an MCHA working at Mafufuna Health Centre in the Samu Chiefdom, about 23 miles from Kambia Town.  As an MCHA she is in charge of family planning, antenatal care and child health for her catchment population of 5,594 people.  Sally has taken part in two Kambia Appeal training sessions run by Cheltenham midwives as part of our IHLSF programme.  She says, “I have learned a lot from these trainings. The most import thing I have learned is how to do a vaccum extraction to assist a delivery and how to cope with a shoulder dystocia, where the shoulder is stopping the baby from coming out.  I will take these new skills with me back to my PHU”.
